No perceptible decrease in traffic I'm aware of.
Because they were just junk cluttering up the forums with link spam.
True that it's against the TOS of the sites concerned but that's not why they were banned here.
    Many people are. :)
No, no calls - they were just junk threads that added nothing to the forum.
No, they were just junk threads getting in the way of useful stuff.

They are against terms of the sites so they took them off forum.

I agree to all this. But do you think this was helping anyone as such in their rankings?

Frankly I used stumbleupon a lot, but I do understand the mess it brings to Freebies, so having them banned is expected and though I can't stumble I find the place much cleaner. The admins and mods have a much higher stake in the forum than the typical member, so I guess they have weigh all the pros and cons regarding this. Why and How and What etc just leave it to them.

Those stumble exchanges never brought me in much money. I'm glad they are gone because now you can actually find real freebies.

You should try getting stuff naturally. Work on linkbait and getting natural backlinks. It can only benefit you further. Spamming stumble echanges is not the right way to go about internet marketing.

I am not a digg user, do not do digg marketing but...

If there was a lot of interests in this social bookmarks swap thing why not create separate subforum for it?

thats my thinking, if you can stand it, why at least allow it and make money (via adsense cpm?)

It was a wonder that DP ever allowed such threads to be a place where people make deals on how to create false stats and manipulate with the services such as digg, stumble upon...
