Hey Guys, I see that all of digitalpoint has been having problems over the past few hours. It has just taken me over half an hour, and roughly 12 login attempts to actually login! Can we have a show of posts on who thinks better servers need to be provided for DP? Cheers, Jon
It depends are you gonna donate so the servers can be bought? Digital Point already pays a lot for the servers they have. It's just because they have such a high traffic count that they're having issues. Besides, they're working on the problem as we speak.
DP is a massive forum and so it will have problems and there really isn't much that can be done at the moment I don't think except to fix them
But surely guys, with a turnover of roughly $10,000-$13,000 shawn could provide some top end servers that fit the bill BTW Exnie: your post was useless! Your whining about people whining
That wouldn't be a bad idea, and would benefit shawn on his part...2k-3k users on daily, automatic $3 grand up front...heh
First, where did you pull the figure of $10-$13k out of? Get the facts straight before you start making numbers up. Second, high end rackservers will cost you way more than that. I believe Shawn is currently seeking closer to $100k to upgrade the servers. Third, flaming another member about their post being useless when you're are just as useless is retarded. Fourth, if you want to do something about it, get off your high horse and donate to the site. Unless you are appearing in the list of top contributors you have no right to complain (even then, I don't think many people would care). Fifth, if you really are fed up - THEN LEAVE! Simple solution. Stop trolling the forum. You've been here a long time, you should know how things work around here by now. If you get offended by any of this, GOOD. You've been here a long time and posts like yours are not acceptable. Newbies are forgivable, people like you who have been here should know better though.
Please check the 'Feedback & Suggestion' forums - there are 100+ threads there with the same content as what your addressing.
