Thank you for the free no-ads site search tool. I am setting it up on a client site at www.sprayproducts.com and am setting it up as a link off the home page to a search page (searchform.php) which has the code supplied by DP for the search box/submit button etc. Once a user inputs what they are searching for there, it will load search.php as DP's instructions state and the results will be displayed within the usual look/feel of the site. I am having one issue: It is not finding any results for any searches even when its clear those terms exist on the site and the pages they are on should be displayed. Two questions that may impact this: I got a Google API key today, but I got it under my personal account, not the clients. Does that matter? I did the site:sprayproducts.com search on Google and only the index page has been indexed. This is a rather recently launched site and according to archive.org (yes I love the way back machine) it did not exist before thus Google may not have crawled it yet... Am I on the right track? Could there be other reasons people can suggest? Thanks
You would just need to get your site indexed by Google (right now Google only knows about 1 page): [search=google]site:www.sprayproducts.com[/search]
So I was on the right track with my second question...thanks So the Google API key does not have to be associated with the client?
Thanks alot... I use your keyword suggestion tool and wanted to see how a donation could be given...how should one do that?
The donation page is here: http://www.digitalpoint.com/tools/donate.html Although it's really not necessary... so only donate if you really want to.
Thanks...it is a very valuable tool so we will donate. Another question: with the DP site search tool, are there any reports generated of the activity/keywords etc. that can be provided to us? Is reporting part of the service?
