The SEO benefits from sig links is basically zero, i've posted about a 4 month test i done before to proove what i'm saying and so did several other members.

Buying signature links is actually pretty stupid, you have your site suddenly gather x,xxx links for the month then at the end your site suddenly looses x,xxx links. Where's the sense in that?

I think there are several factors to consider before buying ANY link, but as this is specifically about sig links I'll point to the things I think are important to that.

    * Member Rank
~ a mod/admin sig should likely be worth more then the standard member. People are more inclined to "trust" a link given by a member with some type of rank

    * Post Quality ~ Potential buyers should do a quick look through the posting history of a sig seller. A member with 1,000 posts that has yet to say much is worth very little

    * Reputation ~ While it is overall worth nothing here, it can be a good indicator of the quality of the member. If you have 1k posts and only one green pip there may be something wrong.

    * iTrader ~ anything in the positive is generally good, though higher numbers do not always mean better. I've only participated in 3 deals here. I have 2 iTrader, I think that's a pretty good average.

    * Threads Started ~ The higher the link is on the page, the more the link is potentially worth. If you have 1k posts and have not started a single thread, then the links are "second best"

    * Post Locations ~ One of the things you want to look for is relevance. If a member is only posting in the underground or general chat, is that really what you are wanting to buy?

I think that if all of the above are leaning in the favor of the buyer then 1k posts is likely worth more then $10, and really SHOULD be the standard.

So basically I fit all those, as I own a forum and I am having trouble selling signature links at my forums. I have like 11,000 posts, and I cannot sell any of five links.

    I voted $10/1000 posts.

Your problem may be "post locations"? What forum... you may not be finding a buyer because of it's topic... or heh, timing. I've seen some sig sale links get BINed on in a matter of moments, whereas, my last one has not gotten a reply.

Could also be a matter of traffic, or even overall page rank/page strength....but again, I am not sure what forum you are talking about.

Specific gaming is the catagory the forums would go in, also I post in all topics. I am not looking for $10/1000 either. I am looking for at least $20/month for 11,000 posts. That should not be hard.

Why don't people sell sig links across forums?

If you posted a total of 1000 sig links across 10 SEO forums, I would pay $50 for that

I think $10 is fair for 1K. However, with a little work, a person can get 1k posts on their own. I would never buy a sig link, because I would rather earn it myself and learn in the process.

U.S.$10 per 1000 posts is reasonable price IMO :)

I personally think DP's signature price is worth it with the following calculation ; 1$ = 100 posts

But, if you have more than 5000 posts, you could consider lowering that amount to actually be able to sell a signature link.
