Recently, I have noticed that many members with high number of posts are unable to sell their signature links.

BST section has lot of such threads.

I guess the supply now exceeds the demand. It is very difficult to get $10 per 1000 posts now.

What do you think is the fair price for a signature link (per 1000 posts) now?

I still believe that $10 per 1k post is still the fair market value.

I would say a good deal would be 8$ for 1000 posts :)
It depends on user's activity and reputation too.

Even I feel that 410 for 1000 posts is good.
fact is that you cant post crappy and useless post in forum like DP (thanks MODs) . So post count has worth. :)

I think that $10 / 1000 posts is still a fair price. I can understand not paying .01 per post for signatures on users with less than 1000 posts, but once you have been around long enough to have that many posts you will likely have built up a good reputation, and be pretty dedicated to the forum, which is worth something IMO.

$10/1000 post is quite fair. also another factor to consider, infractions and post/day.

You should try other ways to sell your link. Ask around from your friends on DP know anyone who wants to buy ur signature. Most importantly I didn't mean go spamming PM's. :D

I voted for $10, but I see it is difficult to get $10 per 1000 posts, as everyone is looking for bargains and people sell for less to even make a sale.

It is becoming difficult, primarily because supply exceeds demand by a great extent. I'm not sure that the $1/100 posts valuation is being used, especially in the case of users with very high post counts. It is easier to sell a link if you are between 500-1000 posts

For the appropriate rate, wait for the market forces to announce it

10$ is right price for 1000 posts and not getting enough members to buy those links can be reason that there are many selling at single point of time.
Whenever I feel to sell my signature I can do that easily but now I got more sites so I think I need to buy someone else signature.

if you sit for 2 hours (IF), you can make 200 short posts within that time , which is probably of no use to anyone .
Hence , most people will overlook your post .
How does that help the buyer ?

Yet you are getting people trying to sell sig links of 500 for $10 plus

too much being sold on sig links but lets remember one thing - it is important who you buy your sig links from.

would you buy from someone who has no idea what they are talking about.

$10 per thousand posts is reasonable considering the above.
