DP Signature Advertising!

I may start advertising my new Forum in Signatures here at Digital Point.

I was wandering have any of you here tried that and how affective was it? Is it worth it as well?

 

In my experience it has absolutely been worth doing. I don't buy them for the SEO benefit but rather for traffic. They pull in a decent amount of hits every day and it's great considering you're getting very targeted traffic (webmasters).

 

yep. Do it. I have gotten many visits and conversions through people clicking on my links.

 

It really helps if your site is related and/or the content is worth reading... but relevance is the best.

I get clicks daily in my occult type sig links, but the ones for the SEO/webmastering links is generally triple or quadruple that.

 

Simply You are in the best webmasters forum in the world , so no where else will be better for your Sig.

 

yes, it is very useful and beneficial dealt to do.

 

It depends on your website. If it contains information for beginners in subjects like Home Business or internet marketing then it may not do a whole lot of good because members here are veterans. If you offer professional advice in the above mentioned subjects then it does wonders. If you have subjects not related directly to website then it could do wonders too. It really depends on your website.

I was surprised by everyone being really positive about it, I thought there would be a few negative people at least.

I will start Advertising my Forum in my signature first to see how it goes and then maybe buy into other peoples signatures.

 

It helps with the branding. People tend to be familiar with your site when they see the site link always.

Very true, I noticed it myself, when I see a siglink more than a few times, and I visit the site afterwards, I have such a thought of "hey, i know this" .. well, kind of

I have the impression that sig links are more effective than advertising with adsense or something like that, as I usually much quicker click a sig link then an adsense ad. And I'm very sure I'm not the only person doing that

 

I won't argue with you guys there. Signature links are great not only for the possible added revenue but also for branding and name recognition.

 

Really helps me, I get 10-15 uniques from my sig per day

 

here signatures links very are cheap, so at the low prices you will getting enough benefits. i just added my site in my signature. i get 20 UV per day.
you can do it for your sites.

 

I agree, I think if you find the right active and legitimate DP member, a sig link can provide targeted traffic.

dont expect a lot of traffic, also try to put somethign in your sig thats legitimate, were all webmasters here, lets help each other out, for example my sig is an actual program i have signed up to called wealthy affiliate, and its a great program, it makes me feel better when i know if a my fellow dp'er signs up to it, he wont regret it

 

It seems to really work. I have sold a couple of my sig links and so far the feedback from the buyers has been very positive. I am selling my avatar and first sig link right now in an auction and it's been fun watching it take off.

Speaking for myself I have clicked on dozens of different sig links in posts if there is an interesting site or slogan in there.

 

I can't wait until my sig is available again. I need to promote some of My sites
