I checked link.w w w.my site.com on google and very few DP pages show up. Why is this? Do the links not count for every thread?
I am sorry to say but thats really whats happening. Forum links are being ignored by Google. But come on pal, there still are a lot of link building strategies. Just 1 of our soldiers is dead. There are many more.
Ah, that's what I figured. The only ones I get are the ones that are high PR threads. Yea, I'm not too worried about it, was just wondering if this was actually why. Thanks!
But your thread could possibly get indexed. O_O; Results 1 - 10 of about 882,000 from forums.digitalpoint.com
Just because Google does not report it as a backlink, it does not mean those links are not helping you. Google has traditionally only shown a sample of backlinks. They likely use much more than that for determing rankings though. These links will still help on Yahoo, MSN and other search engines too. Ideally forum signatures match the theme of the forum that you are participating on. That way you can get some quality direct traffic too.
common man... Google only show only a few of your backlinks, "for example only".. maybe just list some random listings when you use the link:www.site.com command !
best to go to yahoo and type in linkdomain:www.mysite.com to get a better indication of the back links
The best is to use Google Webmaster Tools - it shows all backlinks from inside and outside your domain. --- ProSPOTLIGHT Professional Network (dofollows allowed)
Forum thread is not so friendly in SE. Only those high PR thread will indexed since too many post update everyday in forum

What real estate forums did you use? Any that you can refer me to would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
