DP Sig links - Safe?

I'm hesitating put my sites in my sig link here on the forums, the main reasons?

1) Will SE's see this as spamming my site link everywhere?
2) Other members instantly knowing your site address just by you making a post (eg if I get into a disagreement with another member which does happen on here he \ she could easily click bomb my site or worse..)

Overall is it a good idea to have your sites in your sig and why? thanks.

I get quite a bit of traffic from DP because of my sig links.

 

I think the only disadvantage having your sites in your sig links is that people might steal your ideas/keywords.
You have to remember this is a web community, and mostly SEO. So there are alot of keyword hunters out there.

I think its safe if you talk about SE's and about member I cant say thing because all types members are there

 

People disagree on alot of things with some taking it more personal than others, I would never attack another members site but I know for a fact it does happen.

Oh yeah one more thing - I assume this will improve the Alexa by quite a margin?

DP Signature links will give you a huge amount of traffic

 

If you have a website that promotes to webmasters, then putting your link in the signature is a good advice since you target your audience and you can get quite a bit of traffic. If you have a health related website for instance, i guess putting it in the signature is just going to make you more harm than good.

 

I'm a member of all sorts of forums, and I have my site signature links with anchor text in every forum I belong to. Heck, I'll join forums that are related to my websites just so I can make a sig and do some posting to get good backlinks. Believe me, it works.
