DP regulations on selling stolen stuff?

    hi all,

    if someone tries to sell me stolen goods on a DP thread, can i give them negative itraders even when no transaction takes place, merely the attempt to sell me stolen material?

    for example: someone tries to sell me a logo incorporating clipart or copyrighted images (in effect, stolen from someone else and passed off as original work), can i leave negative itrader to teach them a lesson?

    I don't think so.

    Why don't you PM one of the mods before you get yourself in trouble while trying to protect others. You can find the mods by showgroups.php appended to the the address bar

    As far as I know iTrader can only be given when a exchange of $5 or more has been paid for a service/product.

    However, I could of course be wrong. My advice for now is just to leave a negative rep.

    If I had only 2$ in my PayPal and someone scammed me .. I can't give him a negative iTrader ? :eek:

    Well, $2 offers would be in the Freebies section.
    That would mean that you can't leave iTrader anyway.

    No. You cannot leave iTrader just because someone offers something you believe to be illegal (even if you know it to be). If you see something like that, forward it to a moderator or use the report post button (and include proof that the person doesn't have the right to sell it - we don't go digging if you don't give us something to substantiate your claim).
