DP private messages deleted

    Hello, I have been away for the last 3 months. Before I went away I was working with a guy from DP and we exchanges messages through the pm feature. I wan`t to pick up where we left off, but I have found that all the messages have been deleted because they are automatically deleted after 90 days.

    I don`t know how to contact this guy now. He had done some work for me and I need to receive it and pay for it.

    Can someone help?

    if yes Search on DP then contact him via PM.

    I don't think anyone can help you on this matter.

    You should at least have his email or instant messaging ID if you want to do a business. Beside that, there is an option for you to download all Private Messages as XML, CSV or Text at the bottom of your PM page. And you should do it in the first place if you know you're going away from DP for a couple of months.

    No I don`t remember his ID :(

    It was a mistake I made. I didn`t know the messages were going to be deleted.

    I thought an admin may know if there was a backup.

    Edit: I think I may have found him. I remembered I could search for the previous threads I made.

    If you look at your inbox, at the top where it shows the quota. It tells clearly that all PMs are deleted after 90 days, and 3 months are more than 90 days.

    As members have said, messages are stored for only 90 days. Once deleted they are gone forever.

    Glad you had probably figured out the user's ID.
