    To stop robots from spamming the thread.

    Or at least that would be my guess. Don't ask me how a bot gets into this forum though...

    To reduce spamming on the forum, post after a while and hopefully it will get removed when you post.

    Some mischievous persons create some software that easily posts comment and reply. To avoid it word verification is necessary and it proves that you are a real human being.
