Ok, after the Ron Paul thread, I wanted to learn a little more about the guy, so I visited On The Issues... It made me realize that P&R is always about the same topics (iraq, islam, election), and made me think, I'd like to know more about how you guys feel on the other issues...

So if you want, treat this like one of those annoying myspace surveys, copy and paste, then change the answers to suit yourself :)

    Me:

    Abortion: pro-choice
Budget: smaller, targeted budget. Kill the pork.
Civil rights: no more patriot act. privacy is good.
    Corporations: ---pass---
    Crime: ---pass---
    Drugs: legalize pot
    Education: no more standardized tests
    Oil: no more oil subsidizing
Environment: even if global warming isn't caused by humans, but exists, shouldn't we try to do something about it?
    Families: ---pass---
Foreign policy: we are not the world police
Free trade: novel idea, let's start buying american products (nafta, and the like, is bad)
    Government reform: ---pass---
Gun control: An armed society is a polite society
Health care: more government involvement to ensure all citizens can see a doctor
Homeland security: priority #1! instead of half a trillion on the iraq war, that money could have done wonders to protect the US
Immigration: secure our borders immediatly, for national security purposes
Jobs: lessening middle class is killing the US
    Principals & values: ---pass---
Social security: was only intended to help during the depression, not an entitlement.. still, we can't do away with it now, too many depend on it
Tax reform: why are people taxes for working more? I say, kill income tax and heavily increase sales tax
Technology: another culprit in the disappearing middle class
War & peace: out of iraq now, send troops to A-stan to find OBL
Welfare & poverty: time for another "new deal"?

    * the ---pass--- represents a topic that I can't fit my view into one line...

    Abortion: pass
    Budget: Restrained government spending.
    Civil rights: The Constitution, verbatim.
Corporations: The less the gov does, the less inclination there is for lobbying or bribery.
Crime: equal laws and punishments for everyone
Drugs: Little regulation from the government and no regulation from the UN/WTO etc.
Education: Return education to the states and create choices. No more one size fits all socialized education.
    Oil: Just another commodity.
Environment: Property rights encourage a better environment.
    Families: pass
Foreign policy: Trade, diplomacy, conflict as a last resort.
Free trade: Managed trade (NAFTA et al) is not free trade. No more agreements that punish Americans in opening new trade opportunities in foreign markets.
Government reform: How many lines can I post? How about we just follow the Constitution and rule of law?
Gun control: 2nd Amendment protects the citizens from oppressive gov't. A must.
Health care: Options, like opting out of medicare for private programs, which encourages alternate therapies and creates choice in the marketplace.
Homeland security: Starts with secure borders.
Immigration: No more welfare for illegals. Legal immigrants, sure.
Jobs: Too much regulation and market intervention has made us uncompetitive. Stop serving Wall Street.
Principals & values: Life, freedom and liberty.
    Social security: Unconstitutional
Tax reform: Remove the unconstitutional federal income tax, and allow states to tax for services. If people don't like a state's tax, they can move.
Technology: No restrictions on technology, end regulation and privatize as much as possible.
War & peace: Bring the boys home. It's what the military wants.
Welfare & poverty: Return the money to the people. It's asinine to tax the lower and lower middle class, then claim they are impoverished. Who impoverishes them!?

Good one! I didn't think about that... No more two-class system that allows the rich to escape jail while the poor serve their time...

    Abortion: Kill 'em all.
    Budget:
    Slash and burn.
    Civil rights:
Awesome as long as they aren't just for special interest groups.
    Corporations:
Great invention; Villanized by stupid people.
    Crime:
Remove the stupid laws and enforce the rest; No consensual crimes in a free society.
    Drugs:
    Whatcha got? :D
    Education:
Would you trust education from the same idiots who run the DMV?
    Oil:
Let's go nuclear! We can use nuclear to create hydrogen for hydrogen powered cars.
    Environment:
If YOU want it; YOU pay to it.
    Families:
That's your business and your problem.
    Foreign policy:
"Foreign" is so passe'. The world is too small now to think that way.
    Free trade:
    Benefits everyone.
    Government:
The government that governs least governs best.
    Gun control:
Is being able to hit your target.
    Health care:
If YOU want it; YOU pay for it.
    Homeland security:
Useless. The best defense is a good offense.
    Immigration:
Is what made this country great.
    Jobs:
Unemployment numbers are great! We need more workers!
    Principals & values:
Not the governments business. This ain't the Soviet Union.
    Social security:
Is doomed unless we rapidly increase immigration.
    Tax reform:
National Sales Tax will massively improve our national competitiveness.
    Technology:
Lets us do dumb things faster and better!
    War & peace:
For every thing there is a time and a purpose.
    Welfare & poverty:
    Welfare causes poverty.

    Abortion: pass
    Budget: as limited as possible
    Civil rights: yes
    Corporations: are scam
Crime: only exists in states that have gun control and only because of gun control. Restore 2nd amendment and abolish police
    Drugs: yes
Education: has been sabotaged by government. Separate schools from government. Abolish property tax
Oil: there is plenty of it. Scarcity is artificial. Legalize free market in oil industry and price of gasoline will drop
Environment: Al Gore is full of BS
Families: get the government out of people's private life
Foreign policy: founding fathers were very successful at handling terrorism. Terrorism always existed and will always exist, but it will be a minor issue if we go back to what worked.
Free trade: no. Tariffs instead of income tax. It will keep jobs from being sent to India
    Government: feck it
Gun control: is necessary to subdue a free nation.
Health care: is easily fixed by legalizing free market
    Homeland security: feck it
Immigration: is pointless thanks to globalization. Stay here or immigrate, you are still screwed. Switzerland would be a reasonable place to live, but TPTB are taking over it as well
Jobs: are being sent to Asia because we don't have tariffs
    Principals & values: pass
Social security: Ponzi schemes ALWAYS fail. Charles Ponzi couldn't make it work, Sergey Mavrodi couldn't make it work, and the Congress won't either.
Tax reform: restore private property. A man rightfully owns what he earned. Marxism is theft.
    Technology: legalize free market
    War & peace: peace
Welfare & poverty: The former causes the later. Socialism always fails. Taking someone's property under pretense of giving it to someone who lacks skills or ambitions always destroyed the economy
