And the next thing you know, money suckers joining in hordes to exploit this system. People looking for info will share info, people looking for money will cut others short. Please lets not destroy the reputation of dp as a premium, free forum for the elites.
real money rocks for sure but i jus though bank system could save paypal fees for small transactions Example: 1000 points = $10 a member makes $100 from dp point system there is other member ready to buy the amount in paypal pays $100 ( fees cut = $3.5 ) normally when a webmaster does 20 transactions of $5 from dp he looses $10 50 cents is charged per transaction in form of paypal fees. so for every $100 , $7 is saved. there are like 14,000 webmasters + now and the trade is ever increasing, same system is implemented in dnforum but they have per post point increrease which would be skipped. This could be crucial for small webmasters savings. At present members pay by paypal, but there can also be option in future to pay with ur dp money balance. i hope im not sounding too wierd.
not sure abt scammers, but if its managed properly m sure it would do wonders for the dir owners here dp currency and no fees a wow for webmasters !!
it works fine at namepros, in fact, they are the one community who have succeeded best with their currency. but that's because of several reasons, one, they provide services taking their own currency. Some of the services they provide, does not cost them real money, but are very popular. e.g. their domain auctions. To participate you pay them, then you can sell the domain in their auction, and get more of their currency. You can also register domains with their currency (but that costs them) This helps keeping the currency up, in fact I would suspect they could rise their currency, now being worth 0.02 USD (that means you get that much for each post) as they pay you 1 $NP for every post that you post there. If DP was ever going to do this, I would suggest, you do NOT offer any forum money for posts. That would make the currency more reliable.
It still would be open to hackers,people exploit the system at lamepros all the time. Plus if people get banned there gonna be real pissed as there bucks have gone missing.
give one example of the exploits you mention. plus, maybe it will make them not to missbehave then and get banned.
How about the people who code these systems? Whats the point? maybe you want to so you can exploit and scam people.
yes it is really good, if u have DP bank it will actually increase safty for buyers and it will develope dp market, itraders cant be fake.
In my way to find a solution for me as non paypal supported Actually i was going to post that idea and did search first then found this topic why not having DP$ so we can find easy way to make methods of payment united ? people can get paid by DP$ and may change it with real money or use it to but other DP$ stuff from various section of BST really this must be put into consideration (Rep added)
Bad idea - its a false economy. Top economists can't get the economy right, so why would be be able to? It would be a lot of hassle for little reward. There would be a lot of things that could go wrong with it. The only thing going for it would be that it would reduce transaction costs (paypal etc). Still, i think it is a bad idea. Notting
my suggestion it wont hurt dp at all,will only benefit namepros , dnforum all have it but it comes or not i will still love DP
