Even I don't think that its losing any kind of popularity.
Members are still here and I haven't seen anyone leaving DP. :D :)

DP has been a great forum and it has virtually become a second home on the internet for many people like me.
I am though very concerned with the apathy shown by admin in resolving the issue dogging DP since last several days. Even if things are very fluid behind the scenes and he is hard pressed for time, he can always assign the job to somebody close to him.
I sincerely request a well informed moderator to also make a sticky thread informing the actual position and calm the fragile nerves!
    TO OP...
Every family goes through tough times but that is no reason to become pessimist and fear for senior and able hands leaving you!

    Regards,

I'm relatively new here but I would say that what you are describing is rather normal for a large forum such as this one. Not everyone is going to stick around forever and stay active for a long period of time.

Likewise, there are always going to be new people joining and sticking around.

I don't think DP is loosing popularity, but is loosing members. Can you understand that?
