Feedback DP is way to slow to use.

I visited today after a lonnnng absence.

What do I find? That it is near impossible to compose a post on DP.

What is the problem? I type at over 50wpm, but while typing this comment DP can only process about 5wpm. It is very frustrating for me needing to wait for EVERY word to become visible before typing the next word. DP should be able to process and display words as fast as I can type them since I am such a slow typer.

I have no idea why DP is so sluggish as it never was this slow in the past. It appears that you FIXED SOMETHING THAT WAS NOT BROKEN and now it is severely broken. How about fixing the broken DP comment box?

I don't have time to waste playing games with something that does not work, so I am leaving for now. Will probably check back in another year or two to see if your broken comment box has been fixed.

I'm guessing it has something to do with the browser you are using. Firefox 3.6 was released nearly 6 years ago (an eternity in Internet time). I don't personally use Firefox other than for testing, but I would *hope* they have made improvements to it sometime in the last 32 major versions (38.0.5 is the current version).

That being said, if it's something to do with typing, you might be running into an issue with the combination of the old version of Firefox and Redactor (the editor that XenForo uses). It's easy enough to fix simply by disabling the editor with this button in the upper right of the editor: upload_2015-6-20_12-45-50.png

That will disable the rich editor and use a straight textarea HTML input field, which I would hope that even very old versions of Firefox could handle.

Another option would be to upgrade to a browser that is supported by the creator (they haven't done security updates even for many years).

Either way, using a straight textarea box, rather than a "rich editor" should work fine in any browser... even if you want to fire up Netscape 1.0

I have used DP on dozens of different computers, browsers and devices.

I even used it for a while on a laptop with CPU usage at 100% (Don't ask, it's fixed now :D )

I have seen lagging on Youtube and other un-optimized websites, but DP is always blazing fast.

I think you are an isolated incident.

Also, the finger pointing probably wasn't necessary - if the speed was an issue for other users, they wouldn't be growing at an exponential rate.
