Yes.I noticed it a couple of days ago. Alexa changed their algorithm. One of my sites jumped from around 3 lakh to below 1 lakh...

Who cares if Dp is not in top 1k on alexa? Alexa is the latest thing a webmaster would worry about. Google is more mature, more accurate, and the uniques/hits speak volumes. Just check the online page.
You guys stop saying that alexa is not accurate, useless, stupid and so on. If you don't know how to use it then at least don't blame alexa. Alexa is made for you to compare your website with your competitor's website. If you will look at your crappy websites on alexa sure thing you won't have the most recent traffic statistic, for that you should use on-site counter like google-analytics. Many of you here are money-makers, and think more traffic = more money ==>> better alexa rank = better money, and try to get better alexa ranking. It's not how it works! Also, whining like "my site sucks in alexa, because i dont have the toolbar!" what a rap you are talking about. Toolbar doesn't make any difference to alexa rank of the sites you visit!!! "There are some privacy concerns about the toolbar, as it requests site data from Alexa and there is no information on how long Alexa stores these usage trails." Having a quick look at the alexa top 10 changes, I would say that they have lighten dependence of the pageviews per user, thats why all forums and social websites fell a little down in the rankings. Youtube used to be #2 and google #4 now they have reverse positions.
