Really? When and where did they made the annouce? 3 days being not much online, and when i am back, all the world has changed that much???
DP has dropped but who cares anyway.. Its still a great forum though and many are still interacting.. You can get tons of resources here too!..
I have noticed it also just now, i have checked and the PR is 3. I don't know what had happened but maybe its just a technical problem. I have checked some sites that are high PR and still its decreasing. I know somethings happening in here. they'd better fix this one.
I'm surprised they took this long to do it, it's nothing to do with any database error or anything, here are a few possibilities: 1. The slinging of signature links - Buying and selling links that pass PageRank is against the guidelines, this alone could warrant a PR penalty. 2. The link sales forum - Plenty of guideline breaking links get sold in that forum every day, again this could warrant a penalty. 3. DP COOP - The co-op link exchange network is still active and spamming Google's search results to this day. And that's just for starters.
Its very strange actually.. Why has this thing happened?.. Almost everyday, new people are registering to DP..
I don't know why DP's PR turns to 4, but all I care is that the forum is great and very helpful to many. Who knows? Maybe on the next update DP will regain its PR 6 or higher. Looking forward for it.
Yes, Because it is getting filled by a lot of bullshit and an endless series of reposts, perpetuated by newfags and trolls.
Even explain stuff has dropped from 3 to 2. The first PR explainstuff.com got was PR3 during last update and it only had around 400 backlinks. But now explainstuff has around 1700 odd links and still went down to PR2. And all I did was do a bit more SEO and changed the template to get a website look with three columns.
Still DP's PR is 3... Is there any reasons that DP should consider the PR...? DP is almost popular to everybody. Almost everyday there are many visitors and many are joining this forum.
