DP forum rules question : Affiliate link

Hi,

I would like to know if i put an affiliate link in my sig (i want to put an hosting company affiliate link), is there any problem i respond to someone seeking webhosting to tell them to look in my signature?

that would not be a good idea.. its similar to posting an affiliate link.

 

I'm asking this because in FAQ i can see :

Don't spam the forum with things like:

* Affiliate links (they are allowed in signatures though)

Also in this thread, it seem to be ok..

I think you can add these things on your signature, But you can't promote it via post or PM.

You can ad it to your sig, but I do not think you will be able to promote it when you respond to a post you will need to ask the mods to verify..

Just as you are not allow to pm any one a affiliate link, or direct anyone to your website with an affiliate link there.
