It's not a hack, it's built into vBulletin 3.5 (notice how fast the quick reply is too? No page refresh... just inserts it right into the existing page).

Yeah, vB 3.5 looks really great. The moderation tools look even better than the quick reply/edit. :)

I really like it.... VB is saying that 3.0.7 is the latest version..... When did they come out with 3.5.0 ?

It's beta. The latest STABLE release is 3.0.7, but you can download 3.5.0 betas from the member area.

Clasione, just keep in mind many hacks you use (trader ratings I think) and ushop haven't been ported over to 3.5 yet.

Yeah... every hack/customization needs to be rewritten for 3.5, because internally everything is different (not just the plug-in system, but variables, classes, etc.)

Yeah, I really love the quick reply feature here. Can't wait until there are enough hacks for 3.5 to make it's use on my boards viable.

I've been playing with Beta 3.5 and oh how sweet it is implementing those plugins. Easier then anyone could hope for and the fact that we don't have to reinstall after every upgrade makes them that much better over hacks.

Including the nifty auto-feed of the Blog URL's (?)

Ditto previous posters comments - 3.5 rocks - after using this for a bit, I'm like dang, yet, another reason why the other forums aren't as good/fast as Shawn's! ;-)

The plugin system is pretty cool. I know nothing about vb and even I put one together pretty easily. Takes an hour or two to understand it, but that's mainly because the new plugin system is entirely undocumented until they release a stable version. A little bit of reading through forums and hacking and it starts to make sense.

I did kind of a cloogey Recent Blog plugin using Carp similar to what DP has (but probably not anywhere near as clean).

That's what everyone said at SitePoint when they got the internal beta of vB 3.0 (the former admin, Wayne, was vBulletin staff, so he got it before the public did). It was pretty cool.

I had the exact point Clasione had.
I should get a vBulletin 3.5.0 Beta 3 on my sites. I'm not much a programmer, would I be able to play with this piece? I'd certainly want the stock install to look like this one, but if it didn't, should find a solution.
