I'm not a member of this forum to make money (that would be sad) but I've never made any anyway. This is sad, I added up all my threads' views - nearly 16,000. Would you have expected to have made revenue from 16,000 page views? Do you think I've done something wrong? I can't see DP anywhere on my google adsense account - should I be able to? If I have made a mistake with the administration of this (it wouldn't be the first time) will I get the massive earnings due to me credited to my account retrospectively? Any feedback about your experience, earnings and why you are a member would be of interest.
If you can't see the channel in your google adsense account, just add a url channel for "forums.digitalpoint.com" instead of making a custom channel. I had the same problem too but now everything is ok.
DP earnings are always terrible - This year I've had around 35,000 views and made $5 It's hardly going to get you rich, but as you say 'most' people don't come here for the money.
DP consists of webmasters who know what Adsense is. As a result, curiousity to know what the ad is doesn't come in as a factor, as it does with the common man. There are plenty of other ways to earn from the forum, and if you do that well, you won't worry about your adsense revenue sharing here.
DP is not a forum made for you to make money off adsense. Revenue sharing means you get a small bite of the apple. I made $1.28 in 6 months. There are other ways such as offering services for you to make money but of you are here to make money off ad sense, you better off spending your time building your own website or blog. You can get a free blogger blog and make much more off adsense than posting here on DP. Use DP for what it is meant for, learning and sharing topics related to webmasters.
since january of this year, i've had 3,545 impressions, 6 clicks, and made $2.54 sense. I don't really view adsense sharing from here as a good money maker...just sort of a set it and forget it kinda thing...
