Is there a thread here in DP forum that explains the definitions of commonly used words here?

Whats SERPS? Niche? Link Anchor, etc....


I'm new here on DP, and I've learned a lot so far from reading tips/tricks from other webmasters. But I'm old school, and slowly trying to get back into web development (I'm self taught).

 

A search engine results page, or SERP, is the listing of web pages returned by a search engine in response to a keyword query. - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Search_engine_results_page

Niche - a focused, targetable portion (subset) of a market sector - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Niche

link anchor: the words that you click that are linked..

 

I'm sure there are articles around explaining the words like those, if not i'll make one soon.

Just google any word and you can find answers to all the queries

 

from what i see, most dont even bother to use search function through smaller communities/threads so searching Google would be major uber burden

 

or a search engine..lol

 

Before ascking why don't you google it this are specific terms or webmasters (abreviations) you can find evrything google ling ....
