    it says


    not anything about DP....


    also, like almost all Spams...the email "to" isn't even close to what mine looks like...

    I think this thread needs Shawn's reply so he can confirm..:) but i am pretty much sure it's not leaked nor hacked.I wonder what is the size of database of digitalpoint.More then 100 gigs :eek: even 200gigs.

    I haven't received a single email. I've always kept my email address hidden, as this would be a huge target website for spammers!

    I figured out ATF that I had my option checked for email from other users...now I know better!!! :mad: :mad:

    I have since got an additional spam, probably from the same perp.

    when you think about it its not that hard to harvest the emails.

    Set up a script to scan the URL http://forums.digitalpoint.com/sendmessage.php?do=mailmember&u=VARIABLE

    and have the VARIABLE start at 1 and +1 after each scan, it harvests emails pretty fast that way, you can go through entire database in about a day.

    I'm not a spammer, but the reason I posted this is that Shawn should think about disabling this feature site wide. If someone wants to contact another member bad enough then they can send them a PM and ask for an email address.

    A lot of people have reported spam, and I have received some myself, this needs to be dealt with.
