DP has now, apparent to what i can see, has cracked down on threads selling, exchanging or giving stumbles or diggs of any kind. :(

    WHY... WHY...

Do you guys disagree to this or agree that the stumble digg matter is getting to out of hand here at DP...

Just want to know what you guys think. :p

I think DP has banned threads which break the TOS of websites like digg and stumbleupon. This was deeply discussed in the suggestions and feedback thread before.

Yes, I agree that the situation went out of hand with a lot of members abusing the digg and stumble system and hence it was rightfully tackled by DP.

But dont you think stumbleupon was happy about it and stumble traffic went through the roof thanks to DP. I am confused, every one were happy , some people was making money and some were getting traffic . It is call stimulation of the economy. Maybe i missed out something ? If you call that " abusing the digg and stumble system " it means their system was not well proof , but nothing to do with DP members . I can see some politics between DP and digg. Some people will find an other way to get reach their end. Please explain if i missed out something

How about somewhere in between where DP creates a sub folder for all the stumble and digg request. That will keep the freebies section in order and everyone walks away happy.

I think DP will lose traffic as a result. I'm sure they took a hit when they got rid of the VCCs also.

The activity was very high under the freebies section because of threads related to stumble, digg and other kind of exchanges. You can barely read a thread as it will go down sooner and disappear because the pace of posting was terrible. But now, I think the freebies section is with out clutter but seems lazy;)

On the whole I agree with the ban, there were too many stumble/dig threads in the freebie area and it must've been annoying people giving away good, usefull freebies but I didn't see anything wrong with the dig/stumble threads myself but there were definately too many of them.

I think the creation of a sub forum for this purpose would be better than banning and administering the diggs/stumbles.

I dont like that new rule, but I can live with it ;) ... I think it would be must better if they do sub-folder for these kind of threads...

Sometime people have a great toy but still they are unhappy about it and manege to break it . So many websites went so high , they changed few things and went down, Fark.com , is one example amongst many.

It's not open for discussion, the decision has already been made to ban them from DP forums.
