I have a few pages that bring in good Google traffic, yet I can't even get them indexed in Yahoo. The link: command on yahoo shows 50-80 links to the page but it shows Pages (0) and the site: command says the page was not found. Does anyone know how Yahoo decides which pages to index? I have pages with fewer links on the same domain that are in the results, they even get a little traffic. Any help would be greatly appreciated! This has been bugging me for a few weeks but now it seems to be happening on multiple locations.
Nope. One of 'em is a Squidoo page with about 50 backlinks the other one is a blog post with about 80 backlinks. Google indexes them both and even ranks them highly and brings decent traffic.
The squidoo lens is like 3+ months old and the other one is 2 months. Yet Yahoo has indexed a bunch of my newer Squidoo pages and blog posts that have even fewer back links. Is this common yahoo behavior?
This is strange I usually hear that yahoo indexed many pages but google didn't. Maybe you should wait a while to assess the situation, yahoo may index the links sometime in the future.
Same thing happening with me. One of my site doing great in Google but if you say about Yahoo did not get Index till now.............
The Squidoo page is about 3 months old. How long do I need to wait and how many links do I need? Is there any way to speed this along?
its really strange because my newly constructed site got indexed in 48 hours in yahoo and took 4 days to get indexed in google, i just did social bookmarking in stumbleupon, propeller and digg. Thanks...
As noted earlier the social bookmarks might work. Are any of those existing backlinks from social sites?
