Good for a trademark infringement lawsuit.

    - If you develop a service related to YouTube (eg: video download service), this will not result in trademark infridgement (eg: compare to tweetmeme.com or any other service related to twitter).

    - If you create your own video sharing site using the "youtube" name, this will surely result in a lawsuit.

So this is a great name with huge potential if used properly. "download youtube" keyword has 450,000 exact monthly searches.

You couldn't be more wrong. It's trademark infringement if it has anything related to videos or the youtube usage, period. I also think Google would be on solid legal standing to take the domain at will no matter what the usage of the site was. The name alone is enough to cause a "likelihood of confusion" and no disclaimer is going to protect you. "tweetmeme.com" would also be trademark infringement if the TM owner wanted to take the domain. Don't make a common mistake that because you see someone else doing something, it must be ok. If you had botheedr to check WIPO domain disputes, you would have seen that google has been successful in taking these types of domains in the past.

There is NO trademark infringement if you use it to refer the original youtube service.

I give you another example: hostgatorreviews.com is not a trademark infringement of "hostgator" name, because it is referring to the original hostgator service. It would be a trademark infringement if you use it as your own name or trademark.

I will not post here again unless I will decide to bid. Good luck!

You should not post about any legal issues, period. You haven't the slightest clue about IP law. When you have any real world experience, feel free to post again. I have had over 15 years of experience in IP disputes and have been involved in dozens of disputes, on both sides, and have never lost a case. Everything you have posted is wrong. Now get lost.
