Downloads versus Paypal

Right now I sell a few self-published ebooks on my site through a Paypal button. This has had some success but it is a pain because I manually email the book to the person after they order.

What I'd like to do is go a download system such as payloadz or e-junkie. However, I'm a little scared to try it because I feel that the name Paypal establishes a sense of trust.

What are your experiences? Are readers scared away from purchasing from a place such as payloads or e-junkie? Which of the download sites have the best customter service? payout?

    Any help is much appreciated...

No, people are not scared or buying though those sites.
In fact they prefer it since they get the product instantly.

You could always use http://im.tinypay.me/ to sell your Internet marketing products.
There are no fees or anything.

paypal will work for this type of business. when the transaction is complete the paypal server forwards the customer to a webpage you have selected where they can download your ebook. look into button creation in the paypal marketplace. lots of ebook sellers use it.

Redirect the users to your ebook online after they buy it. You can add this in the PayPal merchant services. All you need is a secure file host.

If you use E-Junkie you can still have your payments processed by Paypal.

I'd strongly recommend using some sort of download manager. If someone disputes a charge with Paypal, then you wouldn't be able to prove delivery of the item.
