downloaded WP to freehostia can't add plugins?

    I have just downloads wp blog to my site that is hosted on freehostia, now my problem is that when I search for plugins, for example xml sitemap it comes up with a timed out message?

    Any ideas?

    it sounds like freehostia isn't allowing outbound connections.
    Maybe you should look at another company that doesn't have such limitations,
    Or contact their support for help, if they offer it.

    Or it may be that Freehostia doesn't allow any additions or access to the server files, which most free hosting solutions don't.
    IF want to to do that you need your own hosting account.

    yeah...free hostia doesn't allow scripts to connect outbound.

    The reason is "It dont accept uploads"
