Download SQL Database from FTP?

    hi Friend,

    I have one question...

    Is it possible to download SQL Database from FTP? if yes how?

    i know it can be done with Cpanel But there is some reason i wanted to try with FTP. where is will get stored? i have /public_html/ folder there.

    Awating for some fast support. i am really sorry if i posted in wronge section.

    you have to go to mysql > phpmyadmin(found at the bottom) and export the database

    are you referring to MS SQL or MY SQL?
    do u want to download the software ot the database itself using that software?

    its not in the web root i dont think. stored on a different part of the server, so isnt accessible from FTP

    if you setup a cronjob for regular db backups, you can download them via FTP. otherwise you need to do it from within cPanel.

    I set up a cron job to email me the database backup on a regular basis - works like a charm! Wouldn't recommend it if you're dealing with GB sized databases though!

    There should be a location via FTP where the regular backups are stored - at least from what I can remember

    how to get cronjob any plugin?

    how you getting in email. what plugin are u using? may i know the name?
