download files direct to my server??

    is it possible to download files direct from the internet direct to my servers remotely??

    If you have ssh access to your server then you can use wget.

    If you have VPS or Dedicated server then you can use rapidleech <-- pls google this.. Shared hosting normally will not allow something that use high server resource.

    i dont have a dedicated server atm.. thinking about it though... i'll research all your methods.

    the reason i ask is, im uploading large files and i dont have a great upload speed... 50kps..... :(

    If your shared hosting allowed to alter max filesize then you can download and install net2ftp script http://www.net2ftp.com/homepage/download.html

    This will allow you to transfer file via ftp to ftp ofc you must have access to ftp on both server
