Well, I want to do this so I can download the Installer App. (www.Jailbreakme.com)

This way I can get the ringtones I want etc.

If anyone can help me downgrade (im at 1.1.2 US version) and i'm on a PC.

PLEASE, AIM me at ball4121 or post here

Is it 1.1.2 brand new out of the box?

If so, you can't unlock it at the moment.

Yes, it's 1.1.2 out of the box.

When will I be able to unlock so I can put my own ringtones? Because I purchased a whole album on iTunes just to make ringtones and I get a ridiculous message saying that making ringtones for "[song name]" is no longer available.

I have a question for you, I was able to downgrade all the way to 1.0.2 but I never even went in to see if anything functioned right, if I go back to 1.0.2 what are the chances I can unlock it and what are the chances things will not work within the phone?

At the moment, it can't be unlocked. (Regardless of downgrading etc.)

No idea about the ringtones - are you on AT&T?

iTunes... :'(, only way I can get ringtones is by buying a song, cutting 30 seconds from the song and paying again to get that 30 second audio clip, it's crazy.
