Dowloading Mp3's From Website To MAC and PC Computers

    Hi,

I own a few relaxation music websites, and I mostly sell mp3 downloads. Most of my customers have a PC, and are able to figure out how to download the mp3 files from my website to their computer.

But once in a blue moon I get a costomer (especially with a MAC) who is oblivious about how to download the file from my website to their computer.

All they know is to click on the link, but then the file starts streaming in Quicktime. Even with directions they have a hard time figuring out that you have to hold the mouse button down (on a MAC) and wait for the pop up and then select "Download File". This is too much for some users to figure out

So my question is is there a way to keep the files on my website as direct mp3 files (as they currently are), but in such a way that customers with either a MAC or PC can just click on the file, and rather than streaming the file, instead trigger a message which gives them the option to download the file to their computer?

Again, people get confused about right clicking the mouse and saving the file. So I am looking for a way where they can just click on the file and save the file without it opening in Quicktime in the case of MAC users, and Windows Media Player in the case of PC users?

I tried zip files (storing the mp3's in zip files), but once again MAC users have problems opening zip files.

Maybe there is a script I can add for MAC users, and for PC users, so they can click on the downloads and the script figures out how to download it to their computer instead of opeing the mp3 file?

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance,
    Ed

You should separate Mac and pc for downloading. Many site have there for customer choose.
