Hi 1. I saw a link from which, if I sign up, I'll get $50 free google adwords voucher. But they are asking for credit card to run my ad campaign. I don't understand. Will they bill my credit card? Then why do they say it as a free voucher? 2. There are people selling vouchers too. After my $50 free voucher is over, can I buy voucher from them? Is it legal? How'll I use those vouchers?
Hosting companies and similar have adwords vouchers as an incentive. They are for new accounts only and totally legit. You do have to enter your credit card details, as the assumption is that you are starting an account, and they want a payment method to keep your ads running after the voucher has run out. If you don't want to ever pay more than 50 dollars, stop your ads when you've reached that, and you won't be charged more. Most of the vouchers for sale won't work, as again, they are from schemes for new accounts. Do people try opening new accounts to keep using new vouchers? Yes. Do Google catch them doing this and close all accounts associated with their sites? Yes.
That's a pretty clear explanation. Thanks. An additional doubt. How does Google catches those who cheat? By accessing all those accounts from the same ip address? And how does Google penalize them? Sandboxing their website?
