i never got the concept of backlinks. can anyone explain me as to how does a backlink work and how to go about it so that a website features high on the search engine ?

Basically backlinks is the most important part of ranking higher the more relevent sites linking to you the better. I actually got a high rank with a site that has two words on. Cheers mrix
