Doubt about back to back post

I have a doubt on back to back posts.
Suppose I've made a post on a long thread. Before anyone makes another post in the same thread, I want to make a reply to another post in the same thread (lets assume that the two posts are unrelated). Then am I supposed to edit my previous post and add the reply? Or is it ok to make a back to back post? Thanks :)

If you can edit then editting will be a better option than back to back posts . You may get infractions for this if repeated regularly .

Edit if you can but if it's a big post and time-wise follows the other immediately, we won't slap you for back to back posts (I did a bunch myself yesterday answering some 40 questions in a sales thread).

Just don't abuse them as a bump and don;t make it a monologue.

I am speaking about this post
After making the third post only I thought that I had made 3 back to back posts. I made my first two posts, then made a post in some other forum. It was then I thought about the screen resolution and made my 3rd consecutive post.

Then I saw that the last three posts were mine. I was wondering what to do next, whether I should copy the content of last two posts and paste in the first post and then delete the last two.

What should I do in such cases?

    Thanks

Should have merged the first 2 at least.

I've done that for you now.

But don't worry about it too much, it's no major crime. just keep an eye out for the Edit button and use the multi quoting.

And have a play around with the multiquote feature. I see lots of "back to backs" where I'm sure the only reason was because the poster wanted to quote several threads and hadn't sussed out multiquote yet.

It was only after seeing T0PS3O's post, that I understood the purpose of the multiquote button. I was under the belief that it is used for implementing a quote withing the quote feature :).
