I doubled my daily traffic since I applied and wasn't accepted. I am now getting over 600 visitors a day. Should I apply again?
if your site doesn't meet their criteria, like bad content, illegal content, then doubling yoru visitors or getting 10x amount probably won't matter.
It is not always about traffic. It is about your site content also. If it is objectionable in their minds then you might as well move on. If not then go ahead.
I had a friend who was accepted with a brand new site - no traffic, so I don't think that factors into accepting publishers. I would submit a different site.
I just looked at it. I am guessing that they think it is a site made solely for money. I am not saying it is, but when I go to it that is the first impression one gets. I would consider reworking the site some and then reapplying or use one of your other sites.
Dude, it is an informational site designed to give information on basics of keeping aquarium fish. The only money I get is from adsense and it barely covers hosting fees.
I am not saying that it is not, but first look at it gives the impression. I have a feeling that is what they are thinking. I looked at it myself and it is a great site. I am a fish addict myself and found some interesting info on the site, but the problem is the general look of it is what I am saying may be the problem. The issue is that many MFA sites use similar layouts and many of the people I have been talking to that applied and got rejected seem to have similar looking sites. Nothing against your site, but just an observation.
Don't shoot the messanger here, he is right the site does look a bit like a 'for adsense' site, but I actaully like the layout since the adsense looks like it's part of the site. I think both adsense and yahoo are very picky about who they let in, and why ?? Because they can ... so I would again agree with the previous poster, clean up the design a bit to make it less ads, more info, and try again. Also lkeep in mind that they might have a problam as you already have adsense on that site.
I agree (however appropriately/innapropriately) that the site has a MFA "feel". I'd do a complete redesign along the lines of this:
one thing that makes it feel that way is that the links to the left have that MFA look to them. I would make some minor changes to the sites overall appearance. It is amazing what you will be able to do by tweaking your existing site though. Oh yea forgot to mention. You might consider adding some more to the main page. Maybe more info and some other sections so that you give it a truly informational look to it. I do like the color and look overall, but some minor tweaks will go a long way.
