I know i probably sound like a snakeoil sales man and ive only been doing this adsense stuff for a few weeks now.

but ive more than doubled my adsense revenue by doing somthing very very simple.

No matter what i did i couldn't influence the types of ads i was getting.. i changed my meta tags, my content, my headers, I told google what parts of my site to view it all had no effect.

But then i changed my page from a Wordpress template one to a Joomla one and within hours.. i went from $0.10 adverts to $6 a click adverts.

im not sure if this is a wordpress problem or all blogging software in general. either way if your having troubles id strongly advice try changing your template.

I wouldn't have thought any template would not make the slightest difference on what ads you would get. I think its all a coincidence.

It could be that your site got spidered and more relevant ads are now being served.

adsense doesn't respond quickly to tweeks made to a webpage so the change in your ads reflects all the previous changes you have made.

at least now you know your efforts have worked.

My eyes get drawn directly to the gravity.span.jpg pic on the old design, I think that's a big reason why you didn't get such a good CTR on the old site.

On the new site, you got some border around the ads and the ads are right at the center over the latest/popular-links which is in the same color so it looks like the ads is a part of some menu if you know what I mean.

I think that can be a reason why you did get a better CTR on the new site.

    (just my thoughts)

$6 a click? Sounds more like a Mesothelioomla template!

How did you route your visitors so quickly from your old site to the new one?
