We are considering creating a reporting tool for our affiliates to help them compare their financial performance to the rest of our network. In particular we are thinking of implementing a report on how long does it take an affiliate to double their earnings compared to the rest of the affiliate network. We had a lot of good feedback about "Double Your Money" report. However, we are hesitant about "privacy issues." Would you as an affiliate be interested in such a report? Would you want to know your relative standing to the entire network or for each program? What do you think about privacy concerns -- the aggregate data for the network is anonymous -- is it acceptable to reveal "overall/average anonymous numbers?" Any other reports you would find on your "Dream List" I'd appreciate suggestions.
could be a privacy issue depending on how their affiliate id's are coded. maybe you could show them just their ranking # or something. not really sure but sounds like a decent idea.
Hi acclaim, I don't think most affiliate really care where they stand amongst other affiliates in a program. To be honest, all they care about is making as much money as they can. As far as privacy concerns, if the info is totally non-identiying, I don't see the problem, but I would still put it in your TOS that you do this. Jim
