Double Post merging feature

    In another forum that i visit, they have a feature that if you double post, then it is automatically merged into their previous one.


    This would fix all the doubleposting infractions, as well as pointless bumping.

    What do you think?

    I think it's a great idea. I also frequent another forum that offers that feature. It would free up the mods from having to deal with thread bumpers.

    As good an idea as it is, have you ever seen any other new features added here?

    We have the feature if you make two posts in a row the second does not increment your post count to try to discourage double posting. Of course in buy, sell, trade, double posting is often a way to bump the sales thread.
