double hypen in domain name --?

What effect is there having two hypens alongside each other in the domain name? Would there be any ranking loss for keywords, eg www.keyword-one.com as opposed to www.keyword--one.com?

 

It could affect phrases if indeed it is a two word phrase. The hyphen would be a separator so there owuld be two spaces between it so an exact match is not there anymore.

But I doubt the difference in ranking caused by this, if even true in the first place, will be noticable. Get one more BL and its effect is wiped away.

I only recently found out it was a possibility having two -'s. Can you register ------.com?

Same here, just read about it in another thread, suppose its an option if you dont want a .biz etc and want a .com
