ok, contest 1: I need a logo for a new site. Its called "Terror Tracker" and is located at http://terrortracker.info Basically it utilises the google maps API to track events such as: Natural disasters, man-made disasters, terrorist actions, boat people, pirates, illegal whalers etc etc. I need a logo that will sit in the top right of the screen and be visually appealing with the map in the background. (I will be getting rid of the 'map types' from google.) contest 2: I need some custom google map markers made up for the site. These icons need to cover the following genres: natural disasters, man-made disasters, terrorists, boat people, pirates, illegal whalers Prize is $15 for 6 icons (or we can work out a deal...) The icons must be similar, ie same theme, not completely random. The icons need to be like a pin, ie come down to a point for when they are placed on the map. Rules: - All payments will be promptly paid via paypal for the winner. - I will select the winner after 48 hrs. (winners notified via PM, then posted on forum) - label your post either contest 1 or contest 2 depending on which one you are in.
seven design - not bad on the three designs. I guess im not after so much of a criminal logo. the Orange and black is the better of the three. thelegendary - This is pretty good. Not sure how it would look when overlayed ontop of the google map API. map ontop of a map may not look too good. Razorz - For the pins i was thinking something a little more modern. Looks like we've just taken the google pin and slapped a couple of images on it. keep them coming people!

knique - i like the flags, not a big fan of the logo though. will keep the icons in mind for that contest. parijatmohor - not sure how a image of a world map will look ontop of another map. May blur it out a fair bit. MrPeters - I like this one alot. The idea of a radar is awesome. So far a front runner. darike - Not sure what the blue thing is. I guess its ment to be a radar type thing but doesn't clearly look like it. Seems a little odd to me. Kavalorn - not sure i want to run the same shape as the stock google marker. However if one comes up that is good then we will. Are all the images on the inside intended to be black? Thanks again for your posts! loving it! keep them coming all....
please note, the banner on the site (http://terrortracker.info) is not necessarily the one we are using! Its just a gap filler for now.
