DoTA 2 (and tournament)

Anyone looking forward to the release of DoTA 2?

From what I am seeing at http://dota2.com/tournaments/international/?q=hd&c=English (the online stream for the DoTA 2 tournament), the graphics are a little under par in comparison to Heroes of Newerth and League of Legends.

Also, I don't know about the viability of the game in the market if it is competing with Heroes of Newerth or League of Legends. The other two are free to play, and even though DoTA 2 has a large fan base ready to spend money on the game, it might be tough to attract players back who already converted to the other two free to play games (this is why LoL had an upper-hand to HoN in the beginning, simply because LoL was free to play whereas HoN was not).

    Your thoughts?

I assume so, but you never know. It's not due to release for a while, so hopefully they will up the GUI before it comes out. If not, they can always improve along the way.

One other thing I think they might go for is keeping graphics low on purpose, because a lot of their fanbase is from the Warcraft III DoTA, meaning a lot of them may still have low-performance computers. By keeping the graphics low, they won't risk alienating their fan base from the get-go.

DOTA 2 looks pretty decent, but I am hoping they make the graphics a little better
