    Guys, I'm confused...

Did you register for a dot asia (.ASIA) yet?
When can you actually use the domain?
Mine is still in pending order.

.asia is available and many are developed. Yours might be at auction or something.

They should only be pending if you registered them before 3-26-08. Anything registered after that, should be fully active.

I have about 20 .asia's parked at sedo. I have 5 or so more in "pending registration" - that means I'll have to goto auction with whatever other users attempted to register those names.

A few of my better ones are:

    cheapbeer.asia
    bangkokjobs.asia
    cissp.asia
    cybercrime.asia
    eco-tourism.asia
    manekineko.asia
and of course my favorite roundeye.asia :-D

I plan to develop them shortly. If you're in "Pending" you should get an email from pool.com before the auction starts.

sip, you do have some cool asia names!

Well, thanks for all the replies everyone. Now I have to wait for some email from pool.com, right? Hopefully I can win the auction or something.

    I took a couple like giftshopping.asia, shopnsave.asia, discountcode.asia - I'm not sure how successful .asia will be?

Nope, & I probably won't ever do it. Personally, I don't like throwing my money down the drain in an extention that's doomed to fail, but that's me.

It really depends on the current guys who register .Asia.

They are the ones who can raise or doom the extension, simply by the quality of their sites.

To all .Asia owners, if you intend to develop them, please make them fit with your extension. It has to be Asia related. If your site is about discos, than make a site about top Asian discos....not a general site, or site about American discos, lol.

Last time I saw a Disco in the US was about 1978 :) I agree - you're going to have to create sites with an Asian flavor. Unfortunately, I've seen a lot of crap registered in .Asia already, the usual suspects having to do with Erectile Dysfunction and Acne meds, dental whitening, body part enlargement products, etc - I hope that those morons don't turn .Asia into another .info, .eu or .tv

I have a couple auctions starting next week for the 5 or so that I'm competing for... apparently any bid even in the last minutes, automatically extends the auction by 24 hours.... 8-/ So it might be a while before I can post any results...
