i need some help to find out if i am doing ok or not. my blog went online about a month ago, i post original content about 4,5 times a week, participate in forums, did some free blog/site submitting to directories and a little bit article submission as well. now my question is how do you find how you rank on google or whatever, and based on what? right now i get about 50-60 unique visitors a day, which most of them are coming from google. i checked it and for some keywords like gpt and related keywords like legitimate gpt...(my blog is mostly about online money making opportunities) my blog comes up in the first page, sometimes in the 2nd-3rd row in the 1st page and sometimes 5-6. is it good for a 1 month old blog or ..? am i doing ok or is it pretty bad? thank you so much in advance.

It is common to have good spot in google ranking for new blogs or website to rank well for beginning.

I suggest you to continue add more contents on your blog and continue with your link building, it will get your blog to top spot in no time.

Sounds like your doing the right things.

If you want to know how well you are doing you need to set some goals. Which usually in SEO are certian phrases you want to rank on. Once you have them you can tell how well you are doing by checking where you are ranked on thoose phrases.

To answer your original question, it depends on how competitive the keywords are. First page for terms like poker or real estate is outstanding. First page for something like Joe Gegoots is meaningless.

Use WordTracker or some similar tool to check the volume of searches for your targeted keywords.
