Well, I have a big project in hand. At this point where almost all hats (White/black/gray/red/orange) are scared upto their level whether they accept or not I am here to seek your advise on my strategies post Penguin. In past couple of days, Like everyone else I was reading forums and stuff. Not to find the best way but to find what made fellow webmaster's site dropped from its rank. Webmasters who had a money site had at least one link which is not natural (Well,If we listen to Google,any link you build yourself is a un-natural link.) Being from same community my websites had tons of links built by myself as well. Some sites were effected some were not. Overall not good. I won't blame Google for this, they are doing their job to make themself so called the BEST search engine.In order to do that they have to fight with webmasters who try to manipulate ranking by various ways. I am not asking you the best strategies or help me recover from these updates,Instead insisting you to take a look at below and come up with your inputs. As a fellow SEO, would you consider it as a good strategies or bad ? I am listing points which I either read on forums or experienced myself. Would appriciate if you can add some more Don't from your experience . Don’ts on my list now: · NO poor content at all, no spun stuff · NO Same anchor text many times · NO Manipulated keyword density. · NO tons of blog comments with keyword as anchor texts · NO tons of social bookmarks · No un-related links from edu / gov sites,wiki sites / forum profiles · No all do-follow links · NO Disproportional Link Types · NO blasts/nukes/ · No directory submission, article submission. fiver links · No onpage stuffing stuff. · No incoming search term stuff on each page (it comes under clocking) To Do's : Week1. 1. Get highly relevant content for posting on article directories and web2.0 sites 2. Filter top 10 web2.0 sites to link from 3. Create 2 high quality content (Real) on them, on day1 2 and 3 without any link to our sites.Include links to wordpress.com and Microsoft.com (these are example authority sites) 4. Leave it for 5 days 5. Repeat this combination as many as we can for 1 week. Idea is to setup a non spammy blog network. 6. Figure out top 10 social bookmarking sites, stable and good ones. No junk ones. Week2. 1. Start posting links to these web2.0 sites. Per week per keyword 1 submission. 5 with real anchor text and rest 5 with genric ones like click here, find out more etc. 2. Same day, social bookmark each web2.0 once on chosen sites. Week3 (Less links) 1. Submit one article with 1 link with all different anchor text (Unique) to 10-15 article directories chosen. Have to be manual approval directory. 2. Wait for the output link and social bookmark them on the sites chosen.Repeat for top keywords. Week4 (Less links) 1. Get 3 blog post about our site with a link (can be a guest post or sponsored post on a PR2-3 blog) 2. Give the guest blog post good expose as much we can, if webmaster is happy we are way close to submit next post soon. Week5 – week 10 (will depend on the outcome). What do you think / advise ? Can you add up few more Don'ts from your own experience, Like any reason you think which lost your ranking.
This is probably one of the most uninformed posts I've ever read on link building. Just to start you should increase the volume of links you build over time, not decrease. If you're serious about ranking #1, I'd do the opposite of what this guy is saying
Any one who is serious about a SERIOUS website (I mean serious brand website,not a 5 page money site), would not involve in the opposite at least after these updates. Either you are still living in past or you have no idea what you are talking about. I guess you have read couple of posts here and there talking about keep increasing links over the time and under impression that thats all the SEO is about. Anyways, Thanks for your contribution towards increasing your post count.
In writing your content, just do your own and unique content avoid duplicate content, keyword stuffing. Build more quality links,make your links more natural and avoid black hat techniques in building your links. Reading seo news and google updates is a big help.
Where SEO news could be read? It's correct, that Google doesn't like duplicate contents. It's good for you to get quality and unique contents.
