They kinda give you the opportunity to make better money than per download plans, you just need to figure which ad providers will serve you better.

I wouldn't suggest popups, cause it'll irritate your visitors. If they like your site, they'll stay, and come back again, which means more gain long term.

Do you have any average stats  on earning? For example 100 downloads with google adsense ads, on average how much will one expect to make?

 

Imho, it won't be an apple to apple comparison with pay per download, and depends how targeted your ads are, and what kind of ads you use. If I'm not wrong there are ads that pay per 1000 impressions, and more for clicks.

When these sites come to a certain size, they will get problems with google. As Filesharing sites mostly host grey and illegal content, without it they would never get enough traffic to make money. (Most Cases)
Google might give a few warnings first, then they will ban him, since he will likely not be able to clean up the site.

Well they openly expressed their intention to stay legit, but as you said most people would use it for illegal content. But I'm not sure if they need traffic from google, because most of the traffic will come from forums and sites which promotes download links. So google may go f... themselves who they think they are...

BTW @dopeshare - I think it's innovative idea to allow us to insert our own ADs and make money off it because good uploaders get 2k downloads daily (2k visitors)... But one problem, alot of people are using downloader apps these days. So they will not see our ADs.

 

There are many and many new hosting born today but it worth trying

 

We provide direct links only for premium members, and even those links expires after a few hours, so your downloaders must go to the download page in order to download the file, so they will see your ad.
