not banned but a proper term for what happeded to you was penalized.

It really depends of what type of gateway pages you have. Can you elaborate more? Please let us know

If the 'doorway' pages are spammy. I'm thinking they are as you yourself feel they're the reason your banned. Try deleting them and submit a reinclusion request.

Could this be the reason why my SERPs dropped so much? Could this be the reason why my "site: command" results are all supplemental? If it is, I'm lynched by Google without a trial!

Truth is, I have kind of a doorway page in use - I have a JavaScript that redirects the page in frames (where it belongs) if visitor comes for example from Google. The page is, in the way I see it, misleading if you don't see the frames and this is the reason I have this JavaScript in it.

You can try it with JavaScript on and of -> http://www.paikalliset.info/hakutulos.php?kategoria=parturit - and you see the difference. This isn't a spammy redirect. I just try to show my pages the way it should be seen and if this is the reason I'm penalized ... oh my...

Any use of frames and javascript redirects is risky. You may be OK but I would never use them on my sites.

It's risky, but for a site that usese frames it's understandable, A better option would be to redesign without the frames though. Is that an option?

The doorway pages were as normal as other pages.. i have just added the doorway pages to increase more traffic and content..
there were no java scripts no frames..
as well i've added the doorway pages links in Site Map too...
but i think my competitor has emailed google regarding doorway pags that i used..

there were just content and content (all unique) in doorway pages and nothing else and yeah one buy Button to buy all pharmacy products which my client sells..

There is a difference between doorway pages (spammy keyword stuffed pages that only spiders can see) and landing pages (good pages designed to give information about specific products/topics to your visitors).

If I understand anything about SEO and the way Google works, I would say that what you are doing is a scool example of what to do if you want to get punished and banned by Google.

    From Googles Webmaster Guidelines:
"Make pages for users, not for search engines. Don't deceive your users or present different content to search engines than you display to users, which is commonly referred to as "cloaking."

Avoid tricks intended to improve search engine rankings. A good rule of thumb is whether you'd feel comfortable explaining what you've done to a website that competes with you. Another useful test is to ask, "Does this help my users? Would I do this if search engines didn't exist?"

Could it be said more straight?

It isn't technically a doorway....Most likely its just an issue of keyword stuffing

Hard to say without seeing the page but doorway pages are meant to show one thing to SE's and another to visitors

That looks like a landing page to me so thats fine. Doorway pages have cloaking and/or javascript redirects.

Agreed, the terminology in the original post was wrong (Judging by the one example)

Anyone that wants more visitors uses landing pages and they are one of the best ways to funnel qualified traffic
