IMO PayPal works just fine, yes it has its quirks and limitations, but what system doesn't? Contact PayPal customer service, discuss with them how to remove the limitation on your account. As far as creating a new payment processor, its no overnight task, it would take a long time to get the idea off the ground and then more time for people to actually start using the payment processor (which would probably be the more difficult thing to pull off). Then once you have tons of people using the service, of course just as any company grows larger, policies come into effect to protect the company itself legally, which basically turns it back into the same issue you started off with.

Paypal, in all of my history working with payment processing companies, has by far the worst customer service I have ever encountered. I have only received one, and I mean one, report in the last six months! I need an exact break down of where my money is going! Try this payment processor instead. GRAYPAY: they work with with you and are willing to communicate what is exactly going on with your account. 818-387-6735

    Hope this helps!

I don't make purchases when the site only accepts paypal and not visa directly. I trust that if I have a problem I can call visa but calling paypal I have never found them to be responsive or helpful.

With the launch of Apple's Passbook app it sounds like they may enter the payment market in the next few years.

GRAYPAY needs a better name. Sounds like gray or black market transactions.

I believe it refers to the payment processing industry never being truly black or white, they understand the "Gray" areas.

Each and every day we keep complaining about this payment gateways.
New ones spring up every day and disappear before we even understand how they function.

Perhaps we should better understand how this established ones function, than to be struggling to create a new one.

I've had several issues with PayPal but when I understood how it works, everything is now fine. I think we need a new payment processor but the question is: What is required to start a payment processing business (legal terms)? As for the scripting, we can easily built on existing modules.

I don't like Paypal at all for certain reason, one of them being that they don't offer services in Pakistan. Also, they are highly unpredictable and can freeze your account without any reason.

If online payment fails you, bank transfer and check are always available for money transaction. Like it or not, PayPal is still the most popular payment gateway.
