I really hate big ticket products I think they get me more frustration than motivation. I woke up this morning just to find this.

That stinks. I can definitely see how it would be aggravating to you. I don't have much luck with ClickBank. I'm still waiting for one more unique buy just so I can get the money sitting in my account before they start charging me dormant fees.

Ohh. You mean refunds for products with big prices...

When I read your price, I thought you meant "Big Receipt Numbers".. Because that LGX one has a weird format to it

Oh, and I wouldn't show the receipt numbers to the public like this..

For instance, what if I emailed clickbank asking to refund transaction - "BN2VRY***". Do you think clickbank will verify identity before just refunding it?

Well, in that case, yes it sucks..

Only thing to do is watch your refund ratios closely and factor in those refund ratios when calculating your advertising budget. If a vendor is getting you more than 10% refunds, might be worth ditching em..

    You know what floodrod,
I have been with clickbank since 2007, the only mistake I think I did is continuing to use the affiliate model to make money. There is nothing wrong with that if you want to make just as much as a day job level salary. Now I am no longer motivated to go on with this. I am thinking of different models, something like membership site, or my own software will be better.

That is so very true buddy. you continue to make money just like a day job. The reason is you pay half what you get to the product owner and their pockets are getting fatter and fatter. Think innovative and release your own product, you will still find thousands of affiliate like us then too ;) All the best Bro!

    cheers

I feel your pain, saw a $90 sale in my (usually dormant) clickbank account yesterday and upon further investigation, saw that the buyer did a refund 2 days later.
It sucks.. time to really look at a product's refund rate before marketing it, I guess.

Perhaps. But I predict you might see a conversion difference..

Offering 100% Money Back Guarantee drives sales.. The person knows going in that if they are not extremely happy then can get the $ back...

This Drives Sales.. BUT this format is only good for products that are Real Good and the refund percentage is low...

If you don't offer refunds, expect lower sales and more chargebacks.

It sucks that customers can screw us, but it's good to be able to convert people at pretty good ratios.. Seriously, have you ever tried selling Amazon goods or Ebay goods? There are a whole slew of new challenges and rules you have to live with..

Not to defend, just offering a different viewpoint

The same thing happend to me and it was just over $220. Right now i need to make about $30 to actually get out of the negative to actually make a profit this month. The person refunded 10 days before the 30days was up. I had spent that money since i thought it was going to be deposited into my bank account on banner advertising on some blog's. What a bad month for me.

I'm glad I don't have to rely on ClickBank anymore for income source. The refunds suck!

The problem is, a lot of those big ticket items (they're mostly in the MMO niche) are absolutely garbage. You get a basic wordpress script and some template for $250, so that's why the customer is refunding. Don't blame the customer, blame the vendor. I know for a fact that many of the big ticket vendors, make it hard for the customers to refund, hence they're not getting the refund right-away, or even not getting the refund at all.

I think you should try promoting CPA offers. The biggest affiliates do CPA and pull in loads of cash, and there are no refunds for most, if not all of the CPA offers as long as your promote them according to the TOS.
