Dont You Hate Paying People To Do Something Then They Block You!

    Hey I paid someone on this forum money to do a design for my new site and he took the money and ran. Does anyone else have experience of this?

    scammers are everywhere. take a look at their reputation and iTrader before making a deal.

    i was told he wanted 100$ upfront then the rest when it was complete. Then he send me a design that was half done and rubbish then blocked me :/ was just wondering has anyone else been scammed of allot of money?

    i've been nickel and dimed once or twice.

    take care with whom you do business with, check out their past work history here, look at their iTraders. don't be afraid to ask hard questions.

    Did happened to me also, I think you should first check the background of the person if they are reputable or not before considering to hire them.

    i stopped paying up front and avoid most when they say that
    i sually do either half way deals or after deals...

    and yes I have faced many..who chat/discuss and go offline and never return after assigning a job but luckily, I learned 1st lesson by losing $25. Since then from any amount to large amount, i dont do up fronts.

    Ive never lost money to this but I ended up losing money because I need something done fast.

    Over at GAF 1 in 3 of the coders I get will say they can do it and get it done in the short amount of time I have and then a few days in they say they cant complete it. I always end up having to pay someone twice as much to do the job fast so I can release on time. I know I should go somewhere else but I like GAF for some reason.

    Thats why i always do works ONLY for those that i really appreciate... There's so much scammers all around, we gotta be carefull. Check Itrader, last posts, etc and you will get a clue on he/she is. And yes, always ask dificcult questions! These days i always ask a written compromise of unique work, and have some "terms" for each work: the good guys dont care and sign them, or agree the terms; the "bad" ones don't even answer...! :D

    Who was it anyway? You gotta put the name out so we all know who the scammer is.
