Although now i have shifted to other registrar it seems people here still like godaddy a lot ?

Dont you find the ordering process soo long and irritating they have soo many things to offer ?

Why do people still use them ?

We have better options like namecheap, name, domainsite so why godaddy ??

When I was hired by the company I'am working for now, one of my first projects was to launch the company website. I got on the godaddy website and ordered the domain name. To my amazement, the credit card was rejected. So I tried it again and again - and the card was rejected every single time.

The next step was a call to godaddy tech support. I was told that because of fraud, the credit card software was very sensitive and would reject cards for no clear reason. I offered to give he tech support person the card number so he could process the payment. The support person told me that he could not process the card, that it had to go over the internet.

A second card was tried, and this time the payment went through.

Overall, I was disappointed with the way godaddy handled the situation. After that, I never bought another domain name through godaddy.

They drive me nuts with all the extras. We all want to get what we can from a customer but they go way overboard for sure.

For them to be so big I find their auctions annoying and one of you experts need to show them how to make it more easy to use without all that garbage you have to look over while looking at the auctions.

I have several domain registrations with them and I agree that the ordering process is annoying with all of the extras they try to tack on... I like namecheap.com the most for domain registrations.

godaddy ordering process is like a maze. kinda like a video game where you need to dodge and click the right spots or you get stung in the end. only problem, it's no fun. :(

Yeah, godaddy sucks and so do their tv commercials and support if you have 20 minutes to waste waiting to speak to someone.

Not really. It's easy once you get used to the checkout process. I keep using GoDaddy because I like the GoDaddy girls.

Godaddy is the only registrar that offers huge discounts and coupons.
I save 15%-20% off every domains I order with them.
They sometimes have $1.99 domain deals as well.
No other registrar does this, and that's why I stay with them.

I'm using godaddy also, sometimes due to slow checkout process I'm proceed the domain purchase with namecheap. It depend on what extension you want to purchase since godaddy always offer cheap price for dot info.

I do agreed with you that GD is slow in the step to checkout and i don't like the overload feature that make the page load too slow.
IMO,they still prefer GD due to GD have a lot of coupon to decrease the money spent.
